Holt Kessler grew up in Brazos County with a father who ran dispatch for a regional freight line out of Hearne, and spent his own summers loading trucks for a Bryan moving outfit that ran the Hwy 6 corridor. In 2009 he bought Conlee Garrett Moving and Storage from its original owners, kept the name Bryan already trusted, and rebuilt the business around one rule: the number written down is the number collected.

What that rule looks like in practice

Holt got tired of watching neighbors get quoted low over the phone by an out-of-town broker, then handed a bigger number once the truck was already stuck in game-day traffic on Texas Ave. So every quote here starts with an actual look at what’s moving — in person or over video — not a guess. He still runs the toughest Downtown Bryan and Northgate-area jobs himself, lives in College Station, and keeps a running list of which streets close on which home-game Saturday.

The office and crew behind every move

Marcus Teague writes every flat-rate quote and pulls the certificate of insurance for College Station and Brenham HOAs before the truck ever leaves the yard. Corbin Ashe builds the day’s schedule around Texas A&M game-day closures and summer heat. On the trucks, Dario Whitfield runs the Downtown Bryan and Northgate jobs, Wade Cassidy handles the older Wellborn and Wixon Valley homes without a scratch, and Milo Sook coordinates storage for closings that slip and job transfers that shift.

Sixteen years, six trucks, and more than 7,100 moves later, the rule hasn’t changed.
